Nicholas - the Early Years . . .
Nicholas was born in March 1980. He was cutest little boy ever - always smiling. He spent his early years growing up in upper (foggy) San Bruno. He attended Church of the Highlands for grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade with his lifelong friends Michelle and Melissa. In September 1988 Nicholas started 3rd grade at Lomita Park School. He spend 2 good years there playing flag football. Rich never missed a practice or game.
When 6th grade began it saw Nicholas at a different school again. This time it was Taylor Middle School where he spent 3 years having fun and making friends. He continued playing flag football all throughout his middle school years.
Capucchino was where Nick's high school career began. This is where he became "Nick" to his friends. Flag football was replaced by real football, tackling and all. As with most boys, the love of cars began with high school auto shop classes. Nick purchased a car even before he was able to drive. It was a Ford Bronco that he and Rich spent many hours rebuilding. Nick was eager to start working (since we told him he had to pay for his own car insurance) for his Dad and Uncle Skip at Custom Maintenance Company.
In June of 1998, Nicholas graduated high school and was off to the Skyline College Automotive Program to become a mechanic.
We celebrated many birthdays, holidays and summers together. Below are just a few pictures of Nicholas' early years.
