Jessica - the Early Years . . .

Born in November 1988, she was an adorable child (I am a little bias I think). We had many fun days while she was growing up. We took swimming lessons when she was just a baby, then joined the San Bruno Mother's Club and had many adventures with them too. We went to the playgroups at the park, many Halloween and Christmas parties, and just met a lot of children her age.  She went to the San Bruno Rec Center Tiny Tots program for 2 years, and over the years, took many  Rec Center classes, where she danced and danced.  She joined the Little Gym and  explored gymnastics for a bit.  All of this was before Kindergarten even started.

In September 1993 Jessica started Kindergarten at Lomita Park School. She spent 6 years at Lomita Park, excelling in academics and dabbling in sports. Both  volleyball and basketball led her to decide that sports were really not for her.  With mom as the PTA President one year, and active in the organization through all 6 grades, many school related activities were enjoyed by all.  She played flute in the 4th and 5th grades, but decided not to continue it in middle school. We went to many concerts the school had and enjoyed the performances. She tells us now that she just liked being on stage and wasn't really playing much !!

Taylor Middle School started in September 1999. That was three fun filled years seeing her early Mother's Club friends go through the same school together. Friendships were made. Then she entered Capuchino High School in 2002. Finally a school that she was able to walk to without a ride. ( I did drive her on rainy days). In high school Jessica was very involved with Drama and met a wonderful drama teacher, Mrs. Skelton. She thoroughly enjoyed the theater, whether she was acting or behind the scenes. One play she was even the stage manager. The summers were spent at Girl Scout Camp Sugar Pine. I think this was one of her favorite places because she was able to spend time with one of her passions - horses. She started as a camper and worked her way up to being a counselor. Four years of French class gave her the opportunity to travel to France for a week in her Junior year. That year she was also able to go on another school trip - Sojourn to the Past. This trip brings students to the South to learn first hand about The Civil Rights Movement.  Her Senior year, 2006, saw her graduate with honors and was off to the next stage in her schooling - Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Below are just a few pictures of Jessica growing up. We had too many experiences, vacations, holidays like Halloween and Christmas, family get to-get-hers, and just everyday living to show you all the hundreds or many even thousands of pictures (digital photography at its best).
